I noticed that during the preview my ele was getting a lot closer to enemies whenever he tried to nuke em. This was only during GWEN preview areas. Nothing like that happened in other areas.
Is this something to be expected whenever in the new areas? The enemies knocked the heck out of us before I could even set up properly. Archane echo has no chance, so I tried to just meteor shower them, got it off the ground 40% of the time.
Any thoughts?

Mind Blast is a better build all round, echo-showers are dated.

Seriously though? There was a few interrupts flying around... Well KDs at any rate, the Centaurs, Jotun, Drakes, Mandragor, Elementals and Wurms all have ways of KDing the hell outta you, it's hard to get off a retarded spell like MS.
I didn't really notice my spellcasting range shortened, tbh, though.

I noticed a shorter casting range today, mostly when I was face-down on the ground...

they seemed to need to be in aggro range for some spells.

I was capping today and back to Hundred Blades, and i actually thought the "adjasenct to" was smaller range than i remembered, can't be or the dummys on noob isle would need moving but it did seem shorter

Have you used Hundred Blades before? It has a much smaller AoE range than character-centered AoE attacks like Cyclone Axe.
